Find the mounting position
Look near the rear chainstay area for a dedicated mounting plate or threaded holes. A bicycle without the intended mount may require a different stand design; do not improvise a structural attachment.
Measure center to center
For a two-bolt mount, measure from the center of one mounting hole to the center of the other. A product described as a 40 mm mount, for example, requires a true 40 mm center-to-center pattern—not an outside-edge measurement.
Check clearance and adjustment
Confirm that the stand body clears the frame, wheel, brake hardware, cable routing, and crank. The adjustment range must suit the wheel size and let the parked bicycle lean securely.
Account for bicycle weight
E-bikes and loaded commuter bikes can place greater forces on the stand and mount. Check the stand's intended use, fastener requirements, and manufacturer instructions before installation.
